Tom Laskowski,

is a freelance singer of operatic, choral, and theater music specializing in modern repertoire. He holds a Master of Music degree from the Aaron Copland School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Hartt School. On stage, Tom has been praised as “a quick-change artist, taking on many characters, each with a distinct personality” by the Queens Chronicle. He has performed across New York and the surrounding tristate area including at such venues as Carnegie Hall and The Shed.

Tom was slated to sing Rambaldo (Puccini’s La Rondine) with the Queens College Classical Singers Club and Marco (Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi) at the Aaron Copland School of Music, but these performances were cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

As an opera singer, past roles include Sam (Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti), Count Danilo (Lehár’s The Merry Widow), Gamekeeper (Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen), Melchior (Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors), and Sylvester (Rorem’s Three Sisters Who Are Not Sisters).

As a musical theater performer, past roles include Pablo (Sister Act), Robertson Ay and Park Keeper (Mary Poppins), and Lumiere (Beauty and the Beast).

Besides singing, Tom is a professionally trained barista, avid reader, and amateur poet and librettist. He currently working on his first opera with composer Jeff Cregeur.
